About the Role
As Care Manager, you’ll lead the home’s clinical team, supporting and inspiring staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care. You’ll work closely with nurses, carers, residents, and families to ensure everyone feels valued and cared for.

You’ll foster a positive, inclusive environment where your team can grow, share ideas, and take pride in their work, while maintaining high clinical standards through quality improvement, compliance, and best-practice leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the clinical team, including nurses, care staff, and allied health professionals, ensuring high-quality resident care.
  • Develop, implement, and review person-centred care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents.
  • Ensure full compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, internal policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Monitor clinical performance, conduct audits, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage staffing rosters, resource allocation, and budgets to support smooth daily operations.
  • Mentor, coach, and support staff development, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Liaise with residents, families, and healthcare providers to maintain strong communication and address concerns promptly.
  • Oversee medication management, infection prevention and control, and clinical risk management practices.
  • Participate in the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of clinical staff.
  • Prepare and submit reports for executive management, accreditation, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents and staff across the facility.
What You’ll Bring
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential).
  • Proven experience in a senior clinical role within aged care.
  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, compliance requirements, and clinical governance frameworks.
  • Experience in person-centred care planning, clinical assessment, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop clinical teams.
  • Sound understanding of risk management, incident reporting, and infection prevention and control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, and resources to support efficient operations.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications in aged care, health management, or clinical leadership (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice at all times.
