Are you a passionate clinical leader who thrives on making a difference in the lives of older Australians? This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Clinical Manager to step into a key leadership role within a welcoming and supportive aged care community in Melbourne.
You’ll be part of a team that genuinely cares - about residents, about each other, and about raising the bar in aged care. In this role, you’ll lead by example, guiding and empowering your nursing and care teams to deliver exceptional, person-centred care every day.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of clinical care, quality, and compliance, helping to create an environment where residents feel valued, safe, and at home — and where staff feel supported to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and support to clinical and care staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, compassion, and continuous growth.
- Oversee assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation to ensure care is individualised, accurate, and meets the highest quality standards.
- Champion quality improvement, audit readiness, and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Work closely with residents and their families, building strong relationships and ensuring open, honest communication.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals and other stakeholders to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
- Partner with the Facility Manager to meet operational and clinical goals, including workforce planning, budgeting, and performance indicators.
- Lead clinical governance, manage incidents and infection control, and ensure safe, effective practices across the home.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong background in clinical leadership within residential aged care.
- Sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, compliance, and accreditation processes.
- A genuine passion for mentoring others and leading through encouragement and example.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and compassionate approach.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and stay calm under pressure.
- Confident using clinical systems and technology to support best practice care.
