Clinical Nurse
We’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse
to join a supportive team in Hervey Bay. This is a full-time opportunity with a trusted not-for-profit provider who values their people and is committed to creating a home-like, caring environment for residents.
- Full-time position with large not-for profit provider
- $55-63 per hour + Super and Salary Packaging

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to residents, including complex health needs, wound care, dementia care, and palliative care.
- Administer medications and monitor residents’ responses, ensuring safe and accurate practice.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to enrolled nurses, assistants in nursing, and care staff.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and review individualised care plans.
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislative requirements, and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, records, and reporting.
- Liaise with residents, families, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals to support holistic care.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement, accreditation activities, and risk management processes.
- Support a positive, safe, and respectful workplace culture.
- Participate in shift work, including weekends, nights, and on-call as required.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven clinical experience in aged care, sub-acute, or similar settings
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident- and family-focused approach
- Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Up-to-date vaccinations in line with Queensland Health and aged care requirements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competence
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including nights and weekends
- $55–63 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging to maximise your take-home pay
