Quality and Education Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced Quality & Education Managers (QEMs)
to join well-established aged care services in North Queensland. Based in the Cairns area, these are permanent full-time roles offering the chance to step into supportive environments with strong, stable leadership teams already in place.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ clinical leadership experience (aged care or transferable).
- $125,000-135,000 base salary + super.
- Supportive leadership team: work alongside an experienced Facility Manager and executive team that genuinely values collaboration.
As a Quality & Education Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality aged care, ensuring services meet regulatory and accreditation standards. You will coach, mentor, and develop staff to embed best-practice care and drive continuous improvement. The role involves overseeing audits, compliance, and quality indicator reporting, while collaborating closely with the General Manager and Clinical Manager. Strong clinical expertise and leadership skills are essential.
The Organisation:
- Large Australian residential aged care provider with over 50 facilities nationwide.
- Strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional development, ensuring a balance of people and performance.
- Lead and mentor staff, providing quality-focused guidance and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and implement best practice care.
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives, audits, and quality indicator reporting.
- Develop team capability through education and training.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and Clinical Manager as part of a supportive leadership structure.
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration (essential).
- Minimum 2–3 years’ clinical leadership experience within aged care or a transferable healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Sound knowledge of accreditation standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Aged Care or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable).
- $125,000-135,000 base salary + super.
